For those who make no compromises: The PROTRACK ONE forged - the sporty forged rim

Gerlafingen (CH) and Gräfendorf (DE), August 2025: For riders who demand only the best on the racetrack or in everyday life, PROTRACK is making a clear statement with the new ONE forged: uncompromising technology, maximum load capacity and consistent weight optimisation in a rim that sets standards in technology and design.

Based on the proven design of the PROTRACK ONE, which has been in use on racetracks worldwide since 2017, the forged version goes a big step further both technically and visually. Made from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminium and formed under a forging pressure of 10,000 tonnes, the result is a rim with an optimally aligned structure - for maximum strength, reduced mass and maximum durability.

More than just light: intelligent lightweight construction for real stress

The ONE forged is not simply made lighter - it is intelligently weight-optimised. Unlike classic cast wheels or flow-forming models, every ONE forged starts with a genuine motorsport blank - a larger starting block that allows the design to be optimised to the maximum. The concave shape of the 12 spokes not only ensures an aggressive look, but also allows maximum clearance for large brake systems - a clear advantage for vehicles with motorsport setups or performance upgrades. The lateral milling of the spokes in the so-called ‘I-beam’ profile creates a construction that is significantly lighter - without sacrificing rigidity. In addition, the rim flange itself has been further optimised in terms of weight in order to further reduce the rotating masses - an important aspect that has a noticeable effect on steering behaviour and acceleration.

“An impressively light wheel alone is not enough - it also has to be able to take a beating on the track when it hits the curbs hard,” explains Christoph Penisch, Managing Director of PROTRACK GmbH. "The RTS engineers, who are experienced in motorsport, have therefore specifically obtained material in the areas where the highest forces act when riding. The ONE forged is not only a technical lightweight, but also a real workhorse."

Technology that comes from motorsport

The forging technology makes it possible to design the material distribution based on precise FEM analyses so that material is only used where it is really needed. Using modern CNC 5-axis milling technology, the wheel is optimised as far as possible in terms of weight - without sacrificing strength or durability. The additional knurling on both rim shoulders effectively prevents twisting, i.e. the tyres slipping under extreme acceleration or braking forces - a detail that is particularly important in professional motorsport.

For BMW M - and soon even more

The ONE forged is currently available in sizes 10.0 x 18 and 11.0 x 18 inches, customised for BMW M models in the F series. Further vehicle connections are already in development. The wheel is of course TPMS-compatible and available in the colours silver and matt black.

Available to order in the EU and worldwide

While orders within the European Union are processed directly by PROTRACK GmbH, Räder Technik Schweiz AG is responsible for international sales outside the EU.

Räder Technik Schweiz AG was founded in 2013 in Ried near Kerzers and specialises in the development and distribution of light alloy wheels and tyre pressure monitoring systems.

Today's PROTRACK GmbH was founded in 2001 under the name Profilreifen24 GmbH by Christoph Penisch in Gräfendorf. In addition to organising and running trackdays on race tracks in Germany and neighbouring countries, the company set up its own online shop in 2005 to sell racing tyres and rims.

The light alloy wheels of the PROTRACK and RTS wheels brands are developed by the RTS team of engineers, who apply their extensive experience from international motorsport series to the development of performance-optimised wheel solutions for professional racing and demanding road use.
