PROTRACK Y5

The PROTRACK Y5 was specially developed as a 19” wheel for BMW G-series models (M2 G87, M3 G80, M3 Touring G81 and M4 G82).

The PROTRACK Y5 is suitable for the following applications:

Racing vehicles / professional motorsport
Track tools / semi-professionel motorsport
Sports cars and sporty road vehicles

The wheel is manufactured using the flow forming process.

Initially developed as a direct mount for the new BMW M models, other applications and sizes will follow. A parts certificate from TÜV Austria is available, which makes problem-free use in road traffic possible.

Flow Forming

In Flow Forming, the rim bed of the cast blank is rolled out under the influence of heat in an additional production step.

The material is compacted by the rolling out process, which gives it greater strength and stability. This allows smaller wall thicknesses to be achieved in the rim bed, which of course also has a positive effect on the weight of the wheel.

Since there is a significant weight advantage, especially with larger wheel widths, we offer our wheels from a width of 9.5 inches as Flow Forming models.

Optimized for the use of TPMS

Since 2014, tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) have been mandatory in all newly registered vehicles in the EU.

The ONE was designed to provide TPMS sensors an optimum mounting surface and is compatible with most common systems.

The Y5 is available direct from PROTRACK GmbH or from well-stocked specialist dealers.
